The portal frame of the animax mono adjusts itself always symmetrically in width., i.e. the pressure stamp is invariably in the middle of the chest.

The height adjustment is continuous and locks automatically after releasing the operation buttons.

The innovative scoops are easily slid under the patient’s chest when you put the animax on. This way the device is quickly and sufficiently fixed on the patient.

This lever is a very effective instrument to considerably reduce the user’s physical effort. Therefore the user can perform even a long cardiac massage without an assistant. The reduction of physical power is so great that even the frequency of 100 strokes per minute is possible during the entire length of the resuscitation.

When you put on the animax the device adjusts the pressure depth depending on the patient’s chest size. The pressure depth lies between 40 and 50 mm depending on the individual yet the cardiac massage is always performed at the optimum pressure depth. The limited pressure depth provides protection concerning the breaking of ribs or other injuries. The necessary power for cardiac massage varies greatly e.g. because of the difference in brittleness of ribs. Therefore the limited pressure depth of the animax mono is an ideal feature to perform the compressions neither too deeply nor too superficially.

The animax mono is made primarily of plastic, stainless steel and aluminium parts. When the device was desigend we made sure that there would not be any type of electrically conducting connection between the various parts. Therefore a defibrillator may be used without the animax mono having to be removed from the patient. This constitutes a further advantage in the effectiveness of the resuscitation because after a defibrillation the cardiac massage can be continued with virtually no time lag.
